| Introduction |
Located in Sexaxa
a village next Maun 25 minutes along the Maun Airport Road
on the way to Moremi Game Reserve, Sexaxa Cultural Village
gives tourists an opportunity to experience the environment
of the Bayei traditional home. There the visitors have an
opportunity to meet the village people (young and old), have
first hand contact with traditional artifacts and tools, taste
the delicious traditionally prepared local foods and also
visit the little curio shop for african art works. |

| On Arrival |
The visitors
will be introduced to some of the community people and then
invited into the homestead where they will be seated on traditional
stools and chairs. You will be provided with the fascinating
background about Bayei traditions, with topics such as the
upbringing of children, marriage, divorce, death, religion
and daily family chores being explained and discussed. |

| Activities |
| Traditional foods are displayed and
a demonstration given about how these foods are prepared and
consumed. |

traditional tools, clothing, musical instruments and herbal
medicines. An explanation is given about the use and purpose

Finall, our guests will see how beautiful
baskets that are hand crafted using materials obtained from
the environment. Baskets are available for sale at competitive
prices.
All proceeds from the basket sales goes directly to the women
who make them. |
