Who we are and what we do
Mosu Safari Tours specializes in outdoor camping safaris. This is arguably the more traditional style of safari and certainly one that we strongly recommend to the more adventurous and those who want to experience what truly is an authentic African safari. The concept being that you will be participating in erecting your own tents, you travel with your guide by road with open 4WD vehicle, enjoying the sights and sounds of Africa.

Mosu Safari Tours (Pty) Ltd is an incorporated and registered company at the Registrar of Companies of Botswana. It’s main Objective is to specialize in tailor made mobile safaris in game reserves, and to conduct Mokoro/boat trips in Okavango Delta, Wildlife Photographic, camping safaris, game scenic flights, game drives in the areas of Okavango i.e. Moremi Game reserve, Chobe National Park/Savuti, Central Kalahari, Tuli Block Game Reserves, Makgadikgadi Pans, Tsodilo Hills bushman paintings, Bushman cultural walks in the Kalahari, Kubu Island and bird watching in Lake Ngami. The company is based in Maun the Hub of Tourism in Botswana and the gateway to the famous Okavango delta.

Our Beginnings
Mosu Safari Tours was founded in 2008 in Maun, Botswana, by the late Mr. Oliver Madibela. With a vision rooted in community, authenticity, and respect for the wild, he set out to offer unforgettable mobile safari experiences across Botswana’s most iconic destinations — including the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, Chobe National Park, and Central Kalahari.
About Mr. Oliver Madibela
Oliver Madibela was more than a founder — he was the heart of Mosu Safari Tours. With a background in guiding and a passion for his homeland, he built the company from the ground up. Known for his warmth, humility, and professionalism, Mr. Madibela worked tirelessly to deliver outstanding safari experiences that reflected the beauty and spirit of Botswana.
Building a Brand with Purpose
From humble beginnings, Oliver grew Mosu Safari Tours into a respected name in Botswana’s tourism industry. His commitment to personalized service, local employment, and responsible travel shaped every part of the business — from custom itineraries to low-impact mobile camps. He was a firm believer in growing the company without losing its soul.
A Legacy That Lives On
In July 2024, Mr. Oliver Madibela sadly passed away. His loss is deeply felt by his family, the team, and the wider tourism community. Yet his legacy lives on — in every journey we plan, in every guest we serve, and in the values that continue to guide us.
