Posted on Tripadvisor Lixin WangVerified Amazing safari experience with Mosu safari tours We just finished a 6 nights and 7days safari with Mosu Safaris. Our tour was Mobil camping from Maun to Kasane. We Camped in Kaziikini, Magotho and Savuti. Kemy always responded swiftly and helpful. Our guide was super good at finding games and knowledgeable about animals. Our chef made every meal delicious even cooked cakes with firewood. Our crew members made the wild tent clean and comfortable every day! We saw lions, leopard and herds of animals. We worried about the long wild tour before we started , But Mosu safari team members gave us lots of surprises and a wonderful and memorable safari experience! Thank you Kemy, Tebby, George, Steve, O.T and Gee.Posted on Tripadvisor Noelia GLVerified 9 unforgettable days in Northern Botswna We booked a private safari with Mosu. A friend had recommended the guide Tebby and he didn't disappoint. Not only knowledgeable and dedicated but also a really nice and fun person to be around, same as rest of the team, driver Steven, camp assistant O.C. and last but no least our very accomplished chef George. Every day we started our tour at 6.00 and saw all sort of animals animals, including lions (quite a few of them), leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, hyenas and of course lots of impalas, zebras and giraffes. Also families of elephants, hippos and exotic birds. Food was a surprise, absolutely delicious, George even managed to bake spectacular cappuccino muffins in his camp fire. He also came with us the two days that we spent in the island with the mokoros where community guides Orphan, Kaze and Tiny took good care of us. There we saw spectacular sunsets and walked and sailed and they had a lot of patience with all of us. The tents were tidy and very comfortable and we even had beds. Also the office staff Kele and Kemy promptly responded all our questions. I will only add that my 80 year old father in law said, these were the best holidays of his life, and he's travelled half the world!Posted on Tripadvisor Wayne BVerified A great introduction to the Okavanga A great experience. Dan and his crew were wonderful. They made us feel great right from the start. From the first evening nature walk, through the long nature walk on Day Two, to the closing morning nature walk, it was picture perfect. Lots of animal sightings, and the meals were great, too! Cannot recommend this excursion highly enoughPosted on Tripadvisor BCtravelers2014Verified Our Magical Experience We spent nine unforgettable days on safari with Mosu at the beginning of February, and the experience far exceeded our expectations in every way. From the very first inquiry to the final farewell, communication with Kemy was seamless, thoughtful, and prompt — we always felt informed and well cared for. Our camping safari was made exceptional by our outstanding four-person crew: Tebby (our guide), O’Neal (our talented cook), and Thapalo and Motheo (the hardest-working team members you could ask for). Tebby’s depth of knowledge about the land, wildlife, plants, and birdlife was extraordinary. Every game drive felt immersive and educational, and his ability to track and interpret animal behavior added so much richness to the experience. O’Neal somehow managed to produce incredible meals entirely over an open fire — including fresh bread and a cake from his “magic oven.” The quality and variety of the food were excellent. The trip struck a perfect balance between authentic camping and genuine comfort. We loved being close to nature and sleeping out in the wild, yet still enjoying warm bucket showers and a private toilet at our tent. It felt adventurous without ever feeling rough — an indulgent blend of wilderness and pampering. There were countless moments of laughter and breathtaking beauty. The final days were a spectacular conclusion: a boat cruise along the Chobe River where we watched elephants playing in the water, followed by the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls. Although the time of year brought some driving challenges, it was perfect for us — lush landscapes, dramatic skies, and the feeling that we had Moremi almost entirely to ourselves. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone with a sense of adventure who wants to feel truly immersed in the landscapes of Botswana. It was, without question, a trip of a lifetime.Posted on Tripadvisor Ian BVerified An enthralling day trip by mokoro into the Okavango Delta. My partner and I had a wonderful day trip into the Delta by mokoro, albeit during the ‘wet’ season. We were picked up at our hotel in Maun at the agreed time and driven to the mokoro station (Morutsha NG32) where we met the team that would take us into the Delta for the day. Our lead guide/poler was extremely knowledgeable about the Delta environment and was only too happy to share his knowledge with us. A thicket of reeds and grass became a list of invaluable house building materials and which reed type was best suited for which component, not just hippo food. And the tapping of the mokoro was our poler having a ‘chat’ with the nearby hippo bull letting him know we were in the area and bore him no malice. He also kept the mokoro pointed to the bank to demonstrate to the hippo that we had no aggressive intensions! We asked how he navigated in the swamps and he explained that he knew all the trees by walking through this area as a child with his father, and if he got disoriented, he would look at the nearest termite mound as these always point to the west. Pretty flowers (yellow pistol) are used to treat sore eyes and wild sage is excellent for keeping mosquitoes at bay. After a being filled up with a tasty lunch by the catering team, we were taken on a guided walk where we saw some animals and burrows, before being poled back to the starting point and returned to the hotel at the scheduled time. Our lead guide was always polite and courteous, at one stage he asked if he may wear his sunglasses while talking to us, as he had been told some tourists get offended if they are spoken to by a person wearing sunglasses. We were stunned by this, as good eye-care, particularly in the harsh African sun, is most important and we immediately agreed that he could wear his sunglasses, which he gratefully thanked us for. Maybe it is time for a change in procedure (I grew up in Africa at a time when the philosophy was that children should not be allowed to wear sunglasses to ‘toughen’ our eyes; I have already had cataract surgery to repair the damage done by the sun to my eyes). May I suggest that the tour operators take the lead in this, provide the guides with appropriate training for good eye health and advise Clients not to be offended if their guides wear sunglasses, as these are to protect their eyes. Sunglasses must become standard bush wear. This tour is operated by the local community who live in the Okavongo Delta. It is an initiative to include local citizens in tourism, both showing and maintaining their traditional way of life, while earning a living. We both believe this to be a wonderful initiative and strongly recommend this tour.Posted on Tripadvisor liakrgr435Verified An unforgettable experience What an incredible experience that outdid our expectations. We started on a transfer from Maun to the mokoro station where we made our way on mokoros to silver spear island (think that's what it was called). There is nothing more peaceful than gliding along the water with views of hippos and crocodiles. It was stunning. We arrived to a fully set up camp for us and a delicious lunch cooked by chef obrien. After that we went on a four hour walk with our poler/guide, herald. We got up and close to a herd of giraffe and just enjoyed being out in the fresh air. After a delicious dinner and comfortable sleep, we set out on a 3 hour walk spotting zebra, giraffe, hippos, lechwe, impala and wildebeest as well as multiple bird species. After an amazing brunch, we relaxed for the day and then took a short mokoro trip around the shallow areas. The heavens opened and we dined during a massive thunderstorm. Was beautiful. We had to take the mokoro back along very shallow reeds on the way back due to somw grumpy hippos but made it back safely. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience to Kemy, Herald, chef Obrien, mable (i think) and OK.Posted on Tripadvisor hansfingerVerified Sehr schöne Tour Wir haben eine Tagestour zum Elephant Trail Moremi gemacht, es war ein sehr schöner Tag. Posted on Tripadvisor xxxVerified Underwhelmed We went on a private mobile safari booked through our travel agent. Spots and tents impeccable, good food and attentive service. Responsiveness was low and the number of trips promised at onset not met. No morning game drives ( we had to wait for more the three hours while things were packed) and the ‘drives’ afterwards just brought us from a to b. The fourth day ended at 11 am. Would not recommend.
